British Open 2016 live streaming: How to watch Round 2 at Royal Troon online

Welcome to British Open 2016 live streaming: How to watch Round 2 at Royal Troon online
Let's be honest with ourselves for a moment: it's a Friday in July and you probably don't need to be especially productive at work today. Aiding and abetting that desire to avoid your occupational duties are 14 hours of major championship golf, all of which is available across four different streams that you can sneakily pull up at your desk (or wherever you are).

The Open Championship is the most unique major in golf, and it's an especially big change up for the American audience watching time zones away. It would be brutal if this were the schedule each and every week in golf, but it's just one major week per year! Embrace the middle-of-the-night and breakfast golf. It's a good thing to wake up, have the best players in the world already into their round, and then avoid all your work to watch sports.

For the first time ever at a major, Golf Channel is broadcasting from the very first tee shot until the conclusion on Sunday afternoon. They're coming on the air right from the jump with "Game 1" as they call it at The Open. Typically, the TV coverage would not start a couple hours into the round, skipping the first handful of groups. But this is Golf Channel's first major championship, and they're going all out in conjunction with their sister network, NBC.

In addition to the expanded TV coverage, there's also a full menu of streams running concurrent to the broadcast. We get the usual marquee groups and featured holes streams, but there's also a "First Tee" stream up and running as every single group comes through the opening hole at Royal Troon. And, as always, Golf Channel has a simulcast stream up and running of their entire 14-hour broadcast, from the start to finish.

The afternoon, or morning if you'e in the States, portion of the tee sheet will feature the biggest names in the game right now. The "Big Three" of Rory McIlroy, Jason Day, and Jordan Spieth are all clustered in about a 30-minute stretch of tee times, right around 9 a.m. ET. So that's an easy way to dodge your work through lunch. Day, along with Rickie Fowler and Masters winner Danny Willett, will be on the marquee groups stream during that stretch.
